Written Answers. - Military Service Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state (1) the total number of pensions applied for under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934; (2) the total number of pensions granted to date; (3) the total payment made in respect of such pensions in each of the years 1934-5, 1935-6, 1936-7-1937/8; (4) the total number of cases decided in respect of which no payment has been made; (5) the total number of awards appealed against; and (6) the number of appeals heard over (a) six months ago; (b) five months ago; (c) four months ago; (d) three months ago; and (e) two months ago, in which no decisions had been promulgated as at December 31st, 1938.

The replies to the Deputy's various questions are:—
