Vol. 76 No. 2

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Taxi and Hackney Owners.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether he has received representations from the Dublin branch of the Irish Taxi and Hackney Owners' Association to the effect that the capital investments of the members of the association who man the street hazards in Dublin district are being injured and employment lost as a result of the formation of non-native owned taxi companies in the City of Dublin; and whether he will receive a deputation from the association to discuss the position and cause it to be investigated.

I have received representations of the nature referred to in the question and have already arranged for the reception in my Department of a deputation from the association.
