Vol. 76 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Construction of Bog Road.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that an application for the making of a road leading into a bog in Coomlibane North, Reananerree, Macroom, was sent to his Department five years ago and that the proposed work was inspected and reported on; and whether in view of the fact that 50 acres of valuable turbary is unapproachable until this road is made, and that unemployment exists in the district, he will take steps to have this proposal carried through without further delay.

This proposal has been examined and noted for consideration on its merits, in competition with any other proposal for the area, and in the light of the unemployment position at the time, in connection with each year's programme of minor employment schemes.
