Vol. 76 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cattle Losses in Clare.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is prepared to grant a sworn inquiry into cattle losses in County Clare during the past six months; and, if so, if he will give due notice in the Dublin papers as to the dates and places of such inquiry.

I am unable to understand what purpose the Deputy thinks would be served by the adoption of his suggestion to hold a sworn inquiry into cattle losses in County Clare. For my part I see no need for such inquiry.

Mr. Burke

Does the Minister believe that there were losses?

Mr. Burke

Is the Minister going to do anything about it?

I hope so, but there is no need for a sworn inquiry.
