Vol. 77 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Advisory Economic Committee.

asked the Taoiseach if he will request banking, manufacturing, industrial and commercial interests to nominate persons to act on an advisory economic committee to consult with the Government as to the methods and policy best calculated to deal with economic and other problems arising out of the European War.

Banking, manufacturing, industrial and commercial interests will be consulted by the Ministers concerned as occasion may require in regard to problems arising out of the emergency concerning which those interests are qualified to give advice or assistance. It is not, however, proposed to set up an advisory economic committee as suggested in the Deputy's question.
