Pigs and Bacon Bill, 1940—First Stage.
Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to make further provisions in relation to the fixing of compensation under Section 39 of the Pigs and Bacon Act, 1937, and to amend retrospectively Sections 34, 37, 41 and 44 of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1939.—(Minister for Agriculture).
Second Stage ordered for Wednesday, 19th June.
This Bill is merely to correct certain doubtful points in the last Bill; there is nothing new in it whatever.
