Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Import of Maize Meal.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in respect of the nine months ended September 30th in each of the years 1937, 1938, 1939 and 1940, the quantity of maize meal imported into this country and the average price of such imports at the port of entry.

There was no maize meal imported in the years 1937 and 193& or in the eight months ended 31st August, 1939. The Deputy will have observed that for September, 1939, and subsequent months a summary only of imports and exports has been issued. On grounds of public policy it has been decided not to publish for the present in any form more details than are given in this summary.
