asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the average number of men engaged on employment schemes in each of the months of September, October, November, December, 1940, distinguishing between the number of men employed on (a) minor employment and land reclamation schemes, and (b) other schemes, and the average of such monthly employment for the whole year.

Subject to slight revision, the average numbers of men engaged on employment schemes in each of the months of September, October, November and December, 1940, and the average numbers over the year ended 31st December, 1940, distinguishing between the numbers employed on (a) minor employment and land reclamation schemes, and (b) other schemes, are as follows:—
