Vol. 81 No. 11

Written Answers. - Military Service Pension Claim.

asked the Minister for Defence if a claim for a military service pension was received from John O'Mahony, Ahiohill, Enniskeane; if, further, he will state the present position of the case, and when a decision is likely to be given.

Application for a service certificate under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, was made by Mr. John O'Mahony, Ahiohill, Enniskeane, County Cork, and was referred to the Referee. On the evidence before him, the finding of the Referee on the application is that the applicant is not a person to whom the Act is applicable. Statutory notification of the finding has been issued to the applicant, who has lodged an appeal for revision of the finding. The Referee's decision on the appeal has been withheld pending the holding by the Referee and Advisory Committee of a session for discussion and verification of undecided applications and appeals from the Brigade area.
