asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the amounts sanctioned by his Department for carrying out Land Commission improvements work in the Counties of Laoighis and Offaly during each of the three years ending March 31st, 1941.

The information desired is not fully available, as owing to depletion of staff due to emergency conditions, it has not been found possible to keep up-to-date statistical records by Counties of amounts sanctioned for improvement works. The latest figures available by counties are in respect of the year ended 31st March, 1939, when the amounts sanctioned were:—
