Vol. 82 No. 7

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Holidays.

asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange to have the holiday periods this summer synchronised as between Christian Brothers' schools and the other national schools so as to facilitate families intending to leave Dublin for the holiday period.

The arrangement of the periods of vacation at national schools rests with the managers under the existing regulations (Rule 55) subject normally to a maximum of 40 school days in any year, and I do not at present propose to interfere with the managers' discretion in the matter.
