Vol. 83 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Seeds.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will indicate whether his Department has evolved a scheme for the production in this country of a full complement of seeds for agricultural purposes to satisfy the anticipated home demand in the 1941-42 season, and, if so, whether he will state what measures are being taken to supervise the production and grading of such seeds.

Steps are being taken to provide to such extent as may be possible for the country's requirements of root, vegetable and cereal seeds for the 1941-42 season, but as some of the arrangements are still the subject of discussion I am not in a position at present to make a statement as to the measures that are being taken.
