asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether his attention has been directed to the inequity of the arrangement whereunder the Sugar Company delivers sugar carriage paid to certain stations on the Great Southern Railways and not to others, and whether he will represent to the Sugar Company the expediency of quoting delivered prices at every station on the railway system in Éire where goods traffic is handled.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Delivery of Sugar.
The matter raised in the question has been brought to my notice. While I do not admit the implication in the question that the present arrangements are inequitable. I am prepared to ask the Sugar Company to consider these representations. I would like to point out to the Deputy, however, that the arrangements are matters within the competence of the company for settlement.
