Vol. 84 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - West Cork Schools.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state how many of the 300 national schools, which he has referred to as being insanitary and unsuitable are situated in the Constituency of West Cork, and what steps, if any, are being taken to end those conditions which are a serious threat to the health of the children and teachers in such schools.

There are nine schools in this area which are reported to be in urgent need of replacement by new schools. These cases are under consideration. I will have inquiry made in regard to any case or cases in which the Deputy may be interested.
