Vol. 84 No. 1

Written Answer. - Military Pensions Board.

asked the Minister for Defence if a special session of the Military Pensions Board was provisionally fixed for the 5th May, 1941, for the hearing of outstanding claims from South Roscommon; if the proposed session was afterwards abandoned, and, if so, whether he will state the reason for such abandonment, and whether a new date is to be fixed and, if so, when.

A session of the referee and advisory committee was provisionally fixed for 5th May, 1941, for discussion and verification of the outstanding former South Roscommon Brigade applications under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934. The session was postponed because (1) the brigade committee requested longer notice of certain additional cases for discussion, and (2) it was found that the detailed records of military activities supplied precedent to the session by the brigade committee were not satisfactorily certified. The brigade committee have been notified that when these records are put in order the referee will be prepared to fix a definite date for the session.
