Vol. 84 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will say what is the delay in dealing with the application for military service pensions from the Athlone and South Roscommon Brigades and when these claims will be disposed of.

The referee is not at present in a position to proceed with arrangements for holding sessions for verification and disposal of undecided applications under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, from the former Athlone and South Roscommon Brigades as the respective brigades committees did not lodge with him complete certified records of military activities within their areas, as required by him in 1939.

asked the Minister for Defence he can state when a decision will be arrived at in connection with the claim of Patrick Bolger, Rathgeran, Ballymurphy, Borris, County Carlow, for a military service pension.

The referee has reached a decision on the application under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, by Mr. Patrick J. Bolger, Rathgeran, Ballymurphy, Borris, County Carlow, and the finding of the referee was communicated to the applicant on the 23rd instant.
