Vol. 84 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Stock Shipments from Mayo.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he can offer any hope in the near future for the shipment of good medium fat store cattle from the counties of Mayo and Sligo to England by any specified port.

I hope to be in a position to make an early announcement in regard to the export of fat stock for immediate slaughter at ports of landing in Great Britain. Export will be limited for some time to fat stock from producers' farms in certain areas. It is not possible at present to say when the entry of store cattle into Great Britain will be permitted.
