Vol. 84 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Emigration to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he can state the number of persons who have emigrated from Éire to Great Britain and Northern Ireland during each of the months April, May, and June, 1941.

Information is not available in my Department as to the number of persons who emigrate (i.e., to take up permanent residence) to Great Britain or Northern Ireland. The number of passengers by sea into Éire from Great Britain was in April 6,409, and in May, 6,793. The corresponding outward movement was respectively 7,015 and 8,501. Figures for June are not yet available.
