Vol. 88 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Coupons for Harness Makers.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he is aware that great hardship is being inflicted on harness-makers in having to use their personal clothing coupons to secure the necessary supplies of lining or ticking and blue serge lining for horse collars, straddles, and for driving harness, etc.; and if he will make available to them a quota of such materials for the purposes of their trade, or, alternatively, grant them separate coupons for such quota.

There is no necessity for a harness maker to surrender his personal coupons for ticken, etc. He can apply to my Department for a licence to obtain his reasonable requirements.
