Vol. 89 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Discharge of Cargoes.

asked the Minister for Supplies whether he is aware that of the eight ships belonging to Irish Shipping, Limited, which arrived in Ireland from transatlantic voyages during the last two weeks of October only two were allocated to the port of Dublin; and whether, in view of the fact that cargo discharged at other ports was subsequently transported by road and rail to Dublin, he will state on what principle he permits Irish Shipping, Limited, to discharge Dublin cargoes at ports other than Dublin.

I would refer the Deputy to my replies to similar questions addressed to me on the 17th June last.

The question relates to the arrival of ships during the month of October. How could a reply given by the Minister as far back as June relate to the subject matter of this question?

If the Deputy will read the reply he will find that out.
