Vol. 89 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tea Supplies.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he is aware that a number of tea traders in the country are getting their total supplies of tea from cross-Channel firms, and if he will state what action he proposes to take to enable these traders to get an extra supply of tea to enable them to supply their customers with the increased ration.

I am aware that a number of tea traders are receiving their total supplies of tea from United Kingdom wholesale suppliers and in all such cases arrangements have been made for the issue from stocks under my direct control of special allocations of tea which should enable the traders concerned to supply all their registered customers with the increased weekly tea ration.
