Vol. 89 No. 1

In Committee. - Registration of Title Bill, 1941—From the Seanad.

Mr. Boland

The Seanad has put in two amendments which I propose to accept. I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 1:—

Section 9. In sub-section (2), page 4, after the words "county registrar" where they occur (in lines 7 and 11), the following words and brackets inserted:—

"(other than the county registrar for the County Borough and County of Dublin)".

This amendment is to remove a doubt as to who the local registrar of title might be in Dublin City. It is not intended that the county registrar in Dublin City should be the local registrar of titles. It is to remove any doubt that the amendment has been inserted.

Question put and agreed to.

Mr. Boland

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 2:—

Section 19. All words from and including the word "which" in line 31 to the end of the section deleted, and the words "for the acquisition of which money shall have been at any time, whether before or after the passing of this Act, advanced under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Acts, 1899 to 1931" substituted.

This is a drafting amendment.

Question put and agreed to.
Amendments Nos. 1 and 2 reported and agreed to.

The Seanad will be notified accordingly.
