Vol. 89 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water Supply in Mayo.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the labourers' cottages in Lisnaboley and Rooskeybeg, Claremorris, have no water supply, that there is now an adequate supply of water coming into Claremorris reservoir for all purposes; and whether he will state what steps, if any, are being taken by the Mayo Board of Health to extend the Claremorris water mains to Lisnaboley and Rooskeybeg.

There is no proposal before my Department either in regard to the lack of a water supply to the cottages referred to or for an extension of water mains in the area. I am bringing the matter to the notice of the county manager. It is understood that recent repairs to the main pipe supplying Claremorris have resulted in an improvement of the water supply.
