Vol. 89 No. 3

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Donegal Detour Road Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he has considered the report of the Donegal County Surveyor on a scheme for the construction of a detour road from Castlederg to Pettigo on the Donegal-Tyrone border, where at present the people using this road are subjected to harassing conditions as they cross the border at several points with live stock, cars, etc.; and whether his Department is prepared to allocate a grant for the construction of the alternative route proposed.

The report of the county surveyor on the proposal for the construction of a detour road from Castlederg to Pettigo has been received and will be sympathetically considered. The proposal will require further examination before a final decision is come to.
