asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state on what grounds workers employed on road work at Athy under a grant are being paid a lesser rate of wages than that paid to ordinary county council road workers in the County Kildare.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Athy Road Workers.
No proposal to increase the wages of the workers referred to was received in my Department until the 15th instant. An increase of 5/- a week from the 1st January, 1943, has been sanctioned, thus bringing their wages up to 35/- a week.
