Vol. 89 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Offaly Estate.

asked the Minister for Landsi to state the position of the Land Commission concerning the agitation for the acquisition and division of the lands at Pigeonstown, on the Castlebernard estate, Cadamstown, County Offaly; whether a division scheme has been prepared in connection with same, and whether it will be put into operation before the end of May, 1943.

The lands in question appear to comprise the holding of Mrs. F.C. Biddulph, for which an order for resumption by the Land Commission was made by the Appeal Tribunal on 17th April, 1942. The Land Commission do not propose to take possession of the lands for division before the 1st December, 1943. A scheme of division is in course of preparation.
