Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the Andrew Kirwan estate at Crawn, Kilmacthomas, County Waterford, Record No. U.9652; and, if so, when the lands will be divided.

The Land Commission do not propose to acquire the Andrew Kirwan estate.

asked the Minister for Lands if it is the intention of the Land Commission to allocate the holding in their possession on the Captain Maxwell estate at Moorehill, Tallow, County Waterford, to some qualified person in the locality.

The Land Commission have under consideration the allotment of the lands in question, but I am not at present in a position to state the nature of the allotment.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that these two holdings have been in the possession of the Land Commission for the last two or three years and that it is time they were allocated?

I am aware of that. As the Deputy knows, the activities of the Land, Commission have been curtailed since the start of the emergency and they will only undertake to pursue those activities to which they are already committed.

I hope you will speed them up a bit.
