Vol. 89 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dairy Disposals Board Accounts.

asked the Minister for Agriculture what is the latest date to which accounts of the Dairy Disposals Board have been presented to the Government; and if the accounts of this board are available to the Deputies of this House.

The accounts of the Dairy Disposals Company, Ltd., for the calendar year, 1941, have been furnished to me. Certain particulars of the financial operations of the company to 31st March, 1941, are given in the Appendices to the Final Report of the Committee of Public Accounts on the Appropriation Accounts, 1940-41.

Is not the position that we are asked to vote money and that we never see a balance sheet and never review their accounts?

Not altogether.

Do they ever furnish us with a balance sheet?

A very full account was given about two years ago.

Did we ever see a balance sheet? The Minister knows the difference between a very full account and a balance sheet.
