Vol. 89 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Quality of Warp Yarns (Donegal).

asked the Minister for Lands whether he will cause careful inquiry to be made into the quality of warp yarns which some weavers are attempting to use in the production of homespun tweed in County Donegal; and whether he will take such steps as may be necessary to prevent inferior materials being used for this purpose.

As the makers of homespun tweed in County Donegal are not controlled by my Department, it would not be feasible to undertake such a general inquiry as the question suggests. If the Deputy would communicate to me such information as he may have, I would be prepared to have the position examined.
