Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Food Voucher Scheme.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the present cash value of six units of (a) bread, (b) butter, (c) milk, supplied in the county Borough of Dublin, under the Emergency Powers (Food Allowances) Orders.

The present cash values in the County Borough of Dublin of six units of bread, butter and milk supplied in exchange for food vouchers issued under Emergency Powers (Food Allowances) Order, 1941, are as follows:—

(a) Bread—Under Emergency Powers (Food Allowances) Order, 1941 (Fifth Amendment) Order, 1942, the allowance of bread on food vouchers was increased by 50 per cent. The additional allowance is made every alternate week, so that the cash value is 6/6 and 3/3 in alternate weeks.

(b) Butter—3/-.

(c)Milk—6/1½.
