Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Railways and Road Transport Act.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total sum paid by the Great Southern Railways Company to the owners of lorries and buses acquired by them under the Road Transport Act.

The particulars which the Deputy requires will be found in the report of the Tribunal of Inquiry on Public Transport, 1939, page 33, paragraph 67. Further payments totalling £20,207 have also been incurred in respect of road transport undertakings acquired since 31st December, 1938.
