Vol. 89 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sinking of Pump at Kildare.

asked the Minister for Lands whether, in view of his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 14 of the 30th June, 1942, that the installation of a deep-well pump would be completed at an early date for the tenants of the Meddlicott estate at Beechpark, Dunmurry, Kildare, he will indicate whether the work has since been completed; and, if so, when.

The Land Commission are informed that the contractor is at present engaged on the erection of the pump for the tenants on the Meddlicott estate and it is expected that the work will be completed this week.

The Minister said then that he had a pump.

Having secured them, he had difficulty in getting explosives for blasting and also in securing petrol for the transport of materials.

It should be definitely finished this week. Will the Minister say that?
