Vol. 89 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Unemployment Assistance Certificate.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why a qualification certificate under the Unemployment Assistance Acts was not issued to Mr. William Luccan, William Street, Wexford.

The qualification certificate granted to Mr. William Lucking has been revoked on the ground that his means exceed the statutory limit, viz., £39 per annum, fixed by the Unemployment Assistance Acts, 1933 to 1940.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary say how that £39 is made up?

This applicant takes on contracts occasionally and the estimate made by the officer of my Department is that his yearly earnings amount to £52.
