Vol. 89 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Officers' Emergency Bonus.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he has received an application from the Irish Agricultural Officers' Organisation to grant an emergency bonus to officers employed by the various county committees of agriculture; and if he is now in a position to sanction payment of emergency bonuses at least on the same scale as those granted to officers of vocational education committees.

An application for the granting of an emergency bonus to officers of county committees of agriculture was made by the Irish Agricultural Officers' Organisation.

Regulations were made by me on the 24th April, 1943, amending the Committees of Agriculture (Salaries of Officers) Regulations, 1936, so as to enable officers of the county committees of agriculture to receive temporary additional remuneration similar to the emergency bonus granted to officers of vocational education committees.
