Vol. 89 No. 18

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - More O'Ferral Estate, County Kildare.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state when the Land Commission propose to allot the turbary on the More O'Ferral estate at Ballyna, Moyvalley, County Kildare.

A scheme for the division of the turbary on the More O'Ferral estate, Ballyna, Moyvalley, is in course of preparation, but until the scheme has been completed and settled it is not possible to state when the turbary will be allotted.

Is the Minister aware that he gave a similar reply in this House on the 24th March last? Will he indicate whether any progress has since been made in the Department as regards the division of the turbary?

Instructions have been issued for the preparation of a scheme for the estate. The scheme has not yet been lodged by the inspectors, so I am not in a position to say when the turbary will be divided.

May we take it that it will be divided before the end of the year?

I cannot say.
