Vol. 90 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Marine and Coast Watching Service.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will grant an increase in the tea and sugar ration to the members of the marine and coast watching service, in view of the fact that their meals have to be taken very irregularly both at home and at their "look-out posts", and also if he will grant them an allowance of kerosene per month.

Having regard to the supply position I regret that it is not possible to grant supplementary allowances of tea and sugar to members of the Defence Services, including the marine and coast watching service.

With regard to kerosene, supplies are being made available through the Department of Defence for all Defence Services, which include the marine and coast watching service.
