Vol. 92 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transport in County Dublin.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that considerable inconvenience is being caused to travellers to extreme points on the Dublin United Transport Company's county services by persons travelling short distances on such services notwithstanding the enforcement of minimum fares and although other more frequent services are available for such short distances; and whether he will authorise such long-distance buses to refuse to stop on request to put down passengers until they have reached a point beyond that served by the shorter and more frequent services running on the same route.

My attention has been drawn to the inconvenience to which the Deputy refers and means of remedying the position are at present under consideration.
