Vol. 92 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Parachute Landing.

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether he inquired of the German Minister in Ireland the reasons which induced the German Government to drop by parachute agents in this country; and, if so, what was the German Minister's reply; and, further, what other representations he has made to the German Government in respect of this incident.

I have no additional information to give to the Deputy.

Arising out of the Minister's reply, does he not propose to inform the House whether he inquired of the German Minister as to why they dropped these, and what the German Minister said? Has he inquired why the Germans dropped these agents here? Does he wish to suppress the German Minister's reply?

On the last occasion I gave the Deputy all the information which I think it is in the public interest at the present time to give.

You have changed your mind. Is it not true that the last time you replied to me you said that if I gave you notice of my supplementary question you would do your best to answer?

I said that I would give it consideration, and in all the circumstances I have done so.

And you have changed your mind?

I have not changed my mind.

You have done something very like it.
