Vol. 92 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wardsmaids' Uniform Allowance.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health why sanction was held from a proposal of the Wexford County Manager to provide a uniform allowance to the wardsmaids at the County Hospital, Wexford.

In this case there was no refusal to sanction the provision of uniforms. In September last when the Wexford County Manager submitted a proposal that an allowance for uniform be granted to the domestic staffs of the hospitals he was informed that it would be more satisfactory to provide them with uniforms, and I see no adequate reason why this course should not be followed.
