Vol. 92 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Margarine Imports.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state whether a quantity of margarine was recently imported, and, if so, by whom it was imported, to whom it was subsequently distributed or sold, and at what price it was sold.

There are no restrictions on the importation of margarine, and I understand that small quantities of it have occasionally become available. As the volume of imports is negligible, the distribution is not controlled; and I am not in a position to give the information requested by the Deputy.
