asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state (a) the total salaries paid to all staff employed by the Department of Local Government and Public Health at the Custom House, Dublin, during the periods 1st April, 1938, to 31st December, 1938, and from the 1st April, 1943, to 31st December, 1943; (b) the total number of persons, male and female, so employed during the above-mentioned periods, and (c) the numbers employed, male and female, and the salaries paid in each grade (temporary and permanent) during the said two periods.
