Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Turbary.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether, in view of the keen local demand for turbary, he is prepared to have steps taken to have 40 acres of unused turbary, situate on the Kenmare Estate, acquired from its owner, Mr. Denis O'Leary, Leamaglissane, Gnureguila, in the townland of Leamaglissane (Electoral Division of Coon), for distribution among the people in the district who have no turbary.

The Land Commission have no proceedings pending for the acquisition of turbary on the holding of Denis O'Leary, Leamaglissane, Gneevguilla, County Kerry. Representations made in the matter are receiving consideration.

asked the Minister for Lands if, in view of the fact that the turbary on Lord Orkney Estate, Kilflynn, County Kerry, has been surveyed by inspectors from his Department, he is prepared to state if this turbary will be acquired by the Land Commission for distribution among the local people who do not possess any turbary at present; and, if so, when.
