Vol. 93 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Application for Fertiliser Allowance.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he can state the reason why the application of D. M. O Dubhghail, 10 Ascal Gartan, Glas Mochonog Nua, Baile Atha Cliath, for a special allocation of superphosphate in respect of his farm at Ballymacsimon, Glenealy, County Wicklow, was refused.

Owing to the limited supplies of superphosphate available this season, it has been found necessary to restrict distribution to persons who are established customers and these customers are not permitted to obtain more superphosphate than they got in the 1943 season.

The applicant mentioned does not appear to be an established customer and I regret that supplies of superphosphate are too limited to allow of any special allocation being made to him. He was notified to this effect on the 30th ultimo.
