Vol. 93 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Portlaoighise Mental Hospital.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he received a resolution from the Portlaoighise Mental Hospital Committee of Management relative to the staff's application for an increase in the cash allowances made in lieu of rations on days off duty; if he will state if his Department has the matter at present under consideration, and also if he proposes to sanction the increase requested.

A copy of the resolution of the Joint Committee of Management was forwarded to my Department. At the same time the Department was notified that the county manager sent a reply to the Joint Committee informing them that no increase can be allowed in the cash allowance to staff in lieu of rations for days on which they are not required to attend on duty. No action on the resolution was called for in my Department.
