Vol. 93 No. 12

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Bread Supplies.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will indicate the reasons for the recent serious decline in supplies of bakers' bread in parts of County Donegal, and the inferior quality of such bread compared with the bread on sale in Dublin.

The supplies of bakers' bread in County Donegal as a whole are substantially in excess of normal consumption, and I am not aware of a shortage in any area. In addition, there are ample supplies of flour for home baking. If the Deputy will furnish information to the contrary, I will have inquiries made. I have no evidence in support of the suggestion in the second part of the question.
