Vol. 93 No. 12

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transfer of Labour Exchange Cards.

Mr. Larkin

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state how many unemployed workers, from other than Dublin County, have transferred their labour cards from the various counties and provincial towns to the Dublin City and County labour exchanges.

The precise information asked for by the Deputy is not available from the records kept in my Department. I may say, however, that on the 27th April, 1944, there were lodged in the live files at the Dublin, Dún Laoghaire and Balbriggan offices, 431 unemployment books and 99 qualification certificates which had been issued by local offices in other areas. It is not possible to say when these workers changed their residence.
