Vol. 94 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Production Costings.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, as the most equitable method of fixing the price of farm products is to base them on the costs of production, he will set up an agricultural costings bureau on which farmers, agricultural workers and his Department will be represented and which will investigate production costs on farms of varied types and sizes.

I am not prepared to adopt the suggestion in the Deputy's question, for the reasons given in my reply of the 27th November, 1940, to a question by Deputy Cogan.
