Vol. 94 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin L.S.F. Inquiry.

asked the Minister for Justice whether an inquiry was held on the 31st January, 1944, into complaints regarding the method of disbursements of funds collected for distressed members of "B" Section of the L.S.F., Dublin District, and whether the findings of such inquiry have been received by him; if he is satisfied with the manner in which such inquiry was conducted, and that the inquiry has accomplished the purpose for which it was set up.

I am informed by the commissioner that a disciplinary inquiry in connection with the matter mentioned in the question and other matters was held in January and February last. The commissioner reports that the inquiry was efficiently conducted and that suitable action has been taken on the findings of the board of inquiry. The papers in the case were sent to me in connection with the present question, and I agree with the commissioner's report. I hope that the action taken will have good results.
