Vol. 95 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Midlands Sanatorium.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if any steps are being taken at present for a three-county sanatorium in the Midlands, and what progress has been made; and if he will give special consideration to the request that the sanatorium be erected in the district of Clara, County Offaly, which would be central and convenient to other counties concerned.

I am at present examining the development of sanatorium accommodation throughout the country. The question of the location of regional institutions will have to be carefully related to whatever national scheme of tuberculosis institutions is finally decided upon.
