Vol. 95 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Artificial Insemination of Cattle.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state what consideration is being given to the application of methods of artificial insemination of cattle in this country in view of the developments in this field in other countries, and whether any decision has been reached as to the benefits to be derived from the introduction of a scheme in this country.

The general question of the artificial insemination of cattle is under consideration by my Department. No decision has yet been reached as to whether the introduction of a scheme of the kind would be beneficial to this country.
